I really wish I had discovered this before venturing out of the country for the summer. The Incase Travel Dop Kit is a mini case meant for your iPhone, iPod and other goodies that need some extra protection. The case has a fur lined pocket with cord management, mesh pockets and a removable accessory clip. It’s a… more
I am not what you would call a “sneaker head” by any means, but I think this collabaration between Supra and Stubb’s Bar-B-Q is pretty unique. The shoe is called the Stubb’s Skytop and is being released at SXSW in Austin, TX this Friday. Apparently Stubb’s Bar-B-Q is known for its amazing barbeque sauce as well as being… more
Eliss is a game for the iPhone and iPod Touch that caught my attention from the second I heard the soundtrack and saw the semi-8-bit style graphics. The game was developed by Steph Thirion who seems to have a background in this “retro” style gaming and design. It took me a bit to get a hang of the… more

Tomorrow is the kickoff of this year’s Cut & Paste competition in Los Angeles. If you are in LA I suggest you check this event out. Just watching the footage from previous events makes me excited. I have been wanting to attend for a long time and barely missed the contest in Hong Kong last year. But… more
The other day I walked into some random convenient store in Los Angeles and found the special edition magazine that XLR8R recently published (I love that convenient stores carry ‘zines like this in LA). The magazine is dedicated solely to the section of XLR8R called Vis-Ed, and is cover-to-cover full of featured artists. XLR8R is one of my… more
The Presets have just released a video for the track “If I know You” off their album Apocalypto. They have chosen French director Eva Husson who also did the video for M83’s “Kim and Jessie”. This track isn’t one of my favorites from the album, but I really like the video and how it goes along… more
I have been a fan of NPR for some time now. I would like to congratulate them on their new segment called Exclusive First Listen. The segment is hosted by Bob Boilen who talks with selected artists that are about to release a new album. The artists are interviewed about the albums and listeners are also able… more
Discovering comedies that I actually find funny is a hard thing to do these days. It seem like Hollywood puts Will Farrell in his underwear farting in someone’s face and it’s a hit. Sadly most of those movies lost their appeal long ago. However, finding out that HBO is premiering season 2 of Flight of the Conchords this… more

In order to help my friends and family out with their Christmas shopping I devised a little list of realistic wishables. I know it’s a bit late, but just in case you are able to add a few more things to your own wish list I thought I might share some suggestions of things you might like as well.… more

New album a must listen. Via Yewknee
Nice!
A nice looking new camera to be released by Samsung.

Time to start the weekend off right with this brand new original track by Kids At The Bar. This track has a bit of a different sound than their usual electro-rock sound, but it will certainly get the dance floor just as rowdy. The track will be released on Robot Dance Records and will be available on both Beatport and iTunes.

I have really been liking Washed Out lately. The nostalgic sound of his music makes me long for some summertime relaxing. This is one of my favorite tracks from his recently released EP Summer 2009.

I just got this tasty little treat in the inbox today from London based electro label Grand Hotel. It’s a track called ‘Get a Grip’ by an artist who I found it difficult to get any solid info on called Dirty Super Car. The track is remixed by The Loops of Fury out of Brisbane and has a nice classic, gritty electro-house feel to it.

The long awaited collaboration between equally talented artists Computer Club and Frankmusik was dropped the other day and it was well worth the wait. The track, ‘Losing Streak’, is part of Computer Club’s upcoming 6 track EP due out this month on So Sweet Records.

So it has been a while since I have posted here at TheDopeFiend and I honestly can’t think of a better way to come back than to bring you this remix Hot Pink Delorean has done of Designer Drugs‘ ‘ZOMBIES!’. The original track is amazing to begin with. I didn’t think it anyone could have made it harder than it already is, but Hot Pink Delorean managed to take the ZOMBIES! and put there own evil metal twist on it that makes it a complete headbanger of a track. It literally game me goosebumps the first time hearing it. I suggest you download it now!
