Badly Drawn Boy Announces Album
Badly Drawn Boy album to be a trilogy.

Morr Music has released a few new t-shirts in their online shop. The designs are pretty much exactly what you would expect from Morr, which is a good thing. Simple, yet fun and interesting.

I have been looking for some swim trunks for a while now. Having spent the entire summer in Shanghai last year it was somewhat difficult finding a pair I liked. These new Sail Trunks done by Freshjive are pretty much exactly what I am looking for. They are available over Reserve now for $52.

I have never been a super big fan of Vans, but I am really liking this new collaboration between Supreme and Vans. Read more over on Hypebeast.

Ray-Ban has released their latest line of collaborations with the Rare Prints Collection. They have asked Matt W. More, Aesthetic Apparatus, Ames Bros and Valhalla Studios to create these limited edition posters each numbered and signed by the artists. Check out the Rare Prints Collection is available now.

Summer is around the corner and I have been looking to switch up my wardrobe a bit for the new season. I thought I might share some of the online boutiques and shops that I frequent for clothing, as well as other shopping for other stuff like travel or gifts. Some of them you probably know of already, but hopefully there’s one or two in this list that you haven’t heard of. Have a peek.
CLOTHING
80’s Purple
This is probably my favorite online clothing boutique, and the one I visit most often. They carry many designer brands such as Orisue, Modern Amusement, Cheap Monday, Insight and a lot more.
Tobi
Tobi is similar to 80’s Purple. A huge selection of both men and women’s clothing, as well as bath supplies, electronics, jewelry, fragrances, hair products, home products and more.
Svpply
This isn’t a shop or boutique exactly. It is, however, one of the best resources online to find the coolest stuff online to buy.
Zappos
Zappos probably has a lot of stuff you would have zero interest in. They carry a lot of stuff your Mom, Dad and even Grandma might like. But they also have some really cool and cheap stuff too. If you are looking for a bargain, it’s a good place to check out.
Oak
Contrary to Zappos, Oak is not a place to head for bargains. Most of the clothing you will find here is pretty pricey, but if you are looking for some designer clothing that you are not likely to see anyone else wearing check it out.
Revolve
Upon first look Revolve may seem like a website most of your local club douche visit on the regular. But if you are willing to weed through the shitty brands they do have some good stuff like Ksubi, Beta Unit, GRN Apple Tree, Clae and a bunch more.
Need Supply
This is a clean, simple boutique with a lot of good random stuff for both men and women.
OTHER STUFF
Supermarket
I had dinner with the creators of this shop the other night and they are very cool people. This site gives designers and creatives direct access to buyers, in a very clean and well designed website. Each designer is approved one-by-one so you are guaranteed to find quality goods.
Flight 001
If you are like me a travel a lot then you take pride in your travel gear. You like to be organized, prepared and stylish while traveling and Flight 001 helps you do just that.
Design Public
If we were all rich we would probably shop here instead of Ikea.
Elsewares
A cool place for random gifts and whatnots.
Did I miss some? Let me know and comment below.

While Modular may be known for their consistently awesome releases of indie-pop and dance music, they also have a pretty amazing line of tees as well. Yes, their promo photos may be crossing the line on the creepy s&m side, but great tees never the less.

I have been a longtime fan of Poketo and their uniquely crafted products. I especially like their wallets. They have recently started selling these Recycled Street Banner Bags that are really cool as well. The bags are made of street banners from Seoul and made by an eco-friendly non-profit shop in South Korea that specializes in creating one of a kind hand-crafted goods. So not only are you reducing waste when purchasing one of these bags, but you will have a one of a kind bag that nobody in the world has.

Rakes & Strays have just released their new line of t-shirt designs for their spring/summer line and all of them are looking super fresh. Rakes & Strays is the sister company of EIO Clothing, which I posted about the other day. They describe the Rakes & Strays line as EIO Clothing’s “vagabond sibling, the child that left home early and ran away to join the circus.” The line is available now exclusively in their online store.
Also follow EIO Clothing on Twiiter.

Beautiful/Decay has released their Spring 2010 line with some fresh designs that feature a lot of hand drawn work. The line includes work from include Ben Tegel, Jiro Bevis, YAIAGIFT, Steve Bonner & Ryan Riss. Check out their look book, and the limited edition tees are available in the Beautiful/Decay online store now.

It’s always good to see smaller independent companies joining forces, supporting each other and making money doing it. A few years ago I helped my friends over at Zuriick set up a store with Big Cartel, and since they have completely blown up. Not saying Big Cartel is solely responsible for that, but they provided a very good and easy solution for selling product online. Big Cartel has put together a little mini-documentary on Zuriick, their shoes and how Big Cartel has helped them grow.

I have posted many times before about Incase. I have also owned many of their products and have alway been very happy with the quality. For this pack Incase has teamed up with skateboarder Paul Rodriguez to come up with a colorway and funtions that I have never seen from them. The obvious feature that’s different is the skatebaord straps on the back of the pack, but also slots for iPod and headphones. I hope to see more collaborations like this from Incase and maybe DJs or musicians.

Some years back I posted about the clothing label EIO (Excess is ok). It’s unfortunate they had slipped my mind until the release of their new Spring collection because I really like their stuff a lot. The new collection includes 12 new designs as well as a new t-shirt style ‘The Asylum T-shirt’, which is produced of their own ultra-soft fabric. All tees are hand printed and are produced in limited quantities.

Cool Cats has released season 4 of their designer tees and are available in their store now. The collection features several designs done by Ed Banger artists So Me and Gaspard Augé from Justice.

Sometimes simplicity is the best option. Although I can’t help but think there was some inspiration taken from a certain very popular clothing company that takes a similar approach, I still very much like the minimalistic look of Urbanears headphones. Coming in a wide range of colors these headphones look to be totally non-branded other than the small tag on the side. With all the options you could easily choose a different set everyday according to your outfit. Now the question (and the most important) is do they sound good? Available for purchase at $60 per pop over at 80s Purple.

I have really been enjoying the music of Baths lately. Here is a remix done of ‘Post Atmosphere’ by Shlohmo that has some really nice glitchy beats. I am always down for some well-done glitches, blips, bleeps or other electronic sounds.

Salem is one of those music acts that you don’t quite know how to feel about, and don’t even begin to know how to categorize. Dreamy electronic beats with female vocals and sometimes distorted rapping. At times dark and scary, at times beautiful, but quite always strange. Check out their video for the track ‘Dirt’ and you will know what I mean.

Earlier this month my good friend in Shanghai, R3, shared this five minute journey of a track with me. It’s difficult to even begin to categorize this unique song. Sort of an upbeat darkwave sound. I really love the breakdown around two minutes in. R3 is one of the most talented producers I know and he continues to improve his skills. I look forward to a full length album from him. Hint hint.

With each remix released by Computer Blue I increasingly become more impressed. On this remix of The Rapture’s song ‘Echoes’ they take a fairly standard dance rock hit and manage to keep all the great things about the song, and add an electro twist that only makes it better. The wailing vocals are perfect for a dance floor banger, and the intro just kicks complete ass.

I have been back in the country for a bit now, but I am just getting the chance to rummage through my inbox and check out all the stuff I have gotten. That being said, I am probably a bit late on these remixes of Swedish House Mafia’s ‘One’ but I still had to post them. The first remix by Congorock and the second by Chewy Chocolate Cookies. Both are party-starters and equally as dance floor worthy.
