The Coachella episode of the Face Hunter Show. Talking with So-Me, Bronques, Jeremy Scott, Erlend Øye and of course the usual Coachella suspects.

I have been a longtime fan of Poketo and their uniquely crafted products. I especially like their wallets. They have recently started selling these Recycled Street Banner Bags that are really cool as well. The bags are made of street banners from Seoul and made by an eco-friendly non-profit shop in South Korea that specializes in creating… more
DJ/Producer Mr. Oizo has released a teaser for his upcoming film Rubber that features music by himself and Gaspard Auge (of Justice). At only about 30 seconds long, it is just that, a teaser. But it is more than enough to spark some interest. I am very curious to see more.

Here is a pretty well designed info-graphic (from Information Is Beautiful) about the amount of online sales a solo musician must sell in order to make a US monthly minimum wage of $1,160. It’s a bit sobering to see how little they payout is for some of these services we are buying from. I mean, $0.0017 per stream… more

XLR8R has written a wrap-up on Coachella this year. Their take on the festival is a bit jaded and cynical as they tend to be sometimes, but their view on what they call “Dubstep Crusties” is pretty hilarious.
“As dubstep has become the de facto rave music of the West Coast, crusty hippies have ditched Phish in favor of

Here is a dose of tech-nerd-gadgetry for you. The Splitterbot is a little robot keychain that allows you to pop off his head, plug it into your headphone jack and share audio with another listener. Pretty handy and it’s only eight bucks.

It’s always good to see smaller independent companies joining forces, supporting each other and making money doing it. A few years ago I helped my friends over at Zuriick set up a store with Big Cartel, and since they have completely blown up. Not saying Big Cartel is solely responsible for that, but they provided a very good… more

More often than not the best ideas are those that seem to be obvious after someone makes them a reality. The series of portraits done by Erika Iris Simmons called Ghost in the Machine is a good example of that. Creating portraits of various artists and actors using the original cassette tapes of VHS tapes.

Adam Kesher has just made available for download a four track collection of his own remixes. My favorite of the collection is this remix done for Kavinsky’s ‘Nightcall’. It’s a short (just under three minutes), happy tune with vocoded male vocals and female vocals that contrast nicely. Head over to the Disque Primeur Facebook page to download all four remixes free. Adam Kesher also has a new album due out in August called Challenging Nature, so keep your eye out for that.

Last night I saw Delorean in concert. As I expected they were amazing, but I was also impressed by one of the opening acts Glasser. Glasser was one of those artists in my music library who I had listened to, filed away and forgotten to check into further. That is until I saw her performance last night. I recommend giving these tracks a listen and if you get the opportunity check her out live.

Nacey is a duo out of Washington D.C. that not only are a part of the city’s biggest club night, but have also been making waves as producers over the past couple years. This remix they have done of ‘Steppin’ Up’ from M.I.A.’s latest album isn’t exactly a dance floor banger, but good nevertheless. It’s got a cool melodic piano track and hard-hitting head-bobbing bassline. The duo recently released a seven track EP titled Time Run Out and is available now here.
