Jamaica Compilation and Remixes
When you have people like Busy P and Xavier de Rosnay backing you it’s not too hard to become an instant hit, but Jamaica has the talent to back up the hype. I posted a litte bit ago about Jamaica’s single ‘I Think I Like U 2′, and yesterday I got a couple remixes of the track in the inbox which are both super-cool. The first one is a laid back classic sounding remix by Ed Banger’s own Breakbot that would be good for tipping one back and soaking some sun. The second is a remix done by The Buffalo Bunch that is much more dance floor ready. Both have a different remix approach, but equally as good.

New Tees From Cool Cats
Cool Cats has released season 4 of their designer tees and are available in their store now. The collection features several designs done by Ed Banger artists So Me and Gaspard Augé from Justice.

Justice For All Contest
The time is running out on the Justice For All contest. The rules are pretty basic. Put together a video between 30 second and 3 minutes showing how “you were great in 2008″ and post in on Vimeo. It’s as simple as that. The contest is being judged by the Ed Banger crew themselves as well as the Industreate crew. There is over $6,000 in prizes up for grabs, including an all expenses paid trip to Chicago to hang out with Justice themselves and label mate/artist So Me. Get on it becasuse they are only accepting submissions until the end of this month!
Fabulous Music Festival
Wow, as if there wasn’t already enough stuff going on Halloween weekend. The Fabulous Las Vegas Music Festival looks to be one of the best options yet. Taking place at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, the event is hosting an official Ed Banger party with Busy P, Sebastian, DJ Medhi, So Me and Mr. Flash. Also included in the line up is a live set from Crystal Castles, Felix Cartel and Heartsrevolution. I will be in San Francisco at the Part of the Weekend Never Dies Premier, but if I wasn’t this would be right up there for my next choice of events.
Who’s Ready to Uff?
On a recent drunken night of music discussion and banter at my friend Jesse’s apartment I managed to recall only a few of the many artists he introduced to me. One artist that made an impact on me was an 18 year old girl from Miami by the name of Uffie. This young cutie who sounds like she could be the little sister of “Electro bad girl” Peaches is on the verge of blowing-up. Don’t be surprised if you see her right up there with other female MC’s like M.I.A. and Lady Sovereign.
