XLR8R Adds Miami to Their Guide
XLR8R's City Guide now has Miami.

Le Castle Vania has just released his first ever publicly available mixtape. The mix, titled Bulletproof Tiger Mixtape, is just under an hour and a half of new and old electro tracks from Le Castle Vania himself as well as other big names in the game. Names such as Boys Noize, Toxic Avenger, Wolfgang Gartner, Fake Blood and Designer Drugs all make the track list. The mix also features Le Castle Vania’s own new single ‘The Light’ that is yet to be released. The mix is available for free over at his website.

I apologize for the for the abundance of Le Castle Vania posts lately. Not only are they appropriate due to the party we are putting on this month featuring Le Castle Vania, but he just won’t stop putting out amazing tracks. On this track, titled “Meet Your Replacement”, he has teamed up with Blake Miller, the other half of Lies In Disguise for yet another hard-hitting banger with that dark, heavy electro sound. It has been a while since we have seen anything put out by the duo, but it was well worth the wait.

I know that I just barely posted a couple tracks by Le Castle Vania, but he just released a new remix that I have to share. The remix is of the track title “Rave is King” by Fukkk Off. The dark synths with the robotic-like vocals of the original track are perfect for someone like Le Castle Vania to remix. It almost sounds like a track he would produce on his own and not a remix. I really like the original as well. Have a listen.

This just in… You may have heard this exclusive track in some of Le Castle Vania’s sets over the past few months. Apparently somehow the track leaked, so he is officially releasing it. The track titled “Zero Machine” features a sample from Smashing Pumpkins, and like always Le Castle Vania has used his super dark/heavy feel in it. And like always, this shit is bound to make the kids bang their heads.
Le Castle Vania has also started a side label under the name of Always Never which you should check out.
As you know I am a big fan of Le Castle Vania. As I have said before he is consistently putting out good track after good track. His latest collaboration with Computer Club is a rework of the Drum N Bass anthem called “The Messiah” by Konflict. I applaud them for stepping out on a limb and trying a new sound for what makes a great dance floor banger.

Along with anyone else who loves hard-hitting Electro bangers, I have had my eye on Atlanta’s Le Castle Vania for quite some time. Since his remix of Snowden’s Black Eyes, Le Castle Vania has released good track after good track. His latest being a remix of GRUM’s heavy hitting Go Back. GRUM has also quickly become one of my favorite Electro producers, and I couldn’t think of anyone better to get their hands on this one to remix. Le Castle Vania is also 50% of DJ/producer duo Lies in Disguise who have been missing for a bit from the “blogosphere”, I am looking forward to new tracks coming from that project as well.
Midwestern electro-disco wonderboy Le Castle Vania has been missing in action since the release of his amazing Troubleton EP release. You may have been lucky enough to have seen him while touring, but as far as new releases I (along with everyone else I am sure) have been anxiously awaiting. Well the wait is over. Le Castle Vania has found time between his live shows to team up with Blake Miller creating Lies in Disguise. Being known for his work with Moving Units and his colab with Steve Aoki (Weird Science) Miller has never disappointed in the past, and is not starting now. Lies in Disguise has released a dancefloor slaying remix of Penis VS Vagina by UK’s Party Shank. It’s an amazing follow up to the work both of them have done previous, and is a track I will surely be dropping next time I DJ.

For the past week I have had this song stuck in my head making me want to dance, The Le Castle Vania Disco Remix of Snowden’s Black Eyes, reworked by DJ DJ Dylan. Le Castle Vania Disco is a side project of the DJ/Producer/Vocalist from Atlanta. Making ultra dance-friendly rock remixes similar to what you might here from Phones or MSTRKRFT, DJ DJ Dylan has got a few really nice tracks under his belt. And being at the young age of 23, be sure to expect a lot more from this kid.
The track is available for download Le Castle Vania Disco’s Myspace page.

Twin Shadow has been making some waves throughout the internets lately. I recently purchased his new album Forget, and I must say I quite like it. I am also really liking this remix he has done for Hooray For Earth, who I had never heard of before this song, but will surely be checking them out after hearing it.

The last I heard of Muscles he had quit the music business because of problems with his label Modular. This disappointed me because I love his music. However, I was happy to see that if the rumors were true at the time he has apparently changed his mind. A new EP by Muscles titled Younger & Immature is due out October 29.
Here’s a remix of the first single from the EP ‘Girl Crazy Go’. Check out the music video for the original version here. From the sounds of it Muscles hasn’t lost his musical touch, or his ego.

Music by Bassnectar isn’t something I would normally post here. For the most part I feel his stuff is for dirty rave hippies, and if you read this blog at all you probably know how I feel about the wobbly bass-heavy Dubstep. That being said this remix done of Sleigh Bells‘ song ‘Run the Heart’ is still bass-heavy, but not completely overboard. It also manages to keep a lot of what makes the original track so good.

Chances are if you spend any amount of time on the internet you have heard ‘Hello’ by Martin Solveig featuring the lovely Dragonette (considering it went number one on Hype Machine). But I couldn’t resist posting this super-fun dance-pop masterpiece. It’s basically impossible not to want to dance to this song. I don’t know a lot about Martin Solveig, but from what I have heard and seen so far I am liking his stuff. Purchase the EP with several remixes on Beatport now.

Millionyoung, aka Mike Diaz, is shaping up to be one of my favorite artist of 2010. I really love this cover he has done of Neon Indian’s ‘Local Joke’. He adds his own personality to the song, so much that it sounds as though he could have written it. I am looking forward to a full-length album from him.
